Keeping the Bee in Business
The Master level program is for the committed beekeeper who wants to be involved in independent study and research on beekeeping related topics with the intent of not only furthering their own knowledge but also expanding the information currently available on honey bees and beekeeping.
Master Beekeeper Requirements:
- Achieve Journeyman Beekeeper status.
- Be a member of WASBA
- Be a member of a local association.
- Either engage in a pre-approved research project and earn required service points (Requirements); or satisfactorily complete an accredited university level Master beekeeping program.
- Submit required documentation on Progress Form.
Upon satisfactory completion of the WASBA Master Beekeeper course and submission of the completed Progress Form, the student will receive a certificate of completion and a patch acknowledging WASBA Master Beekeeper status.
*Reciprocal recognition for successful completion of the University of Montana, Master Level Beekeeping Course can be granted to a WASBA member. The cost for the reciprocal certification is: $20 per student. Payment can be made by sending a check to WASBA, PO Box 4824, Spokane, WA 99220 along with a copy of the University of Montana Master level certificate.
