Keeping the Bee in Business

Scholarship Information

Washington State Beekeepers Association maintains a scholarship fund that provides funding to worthy students and researchers attending Washington colleges or universities whose work advances the knowledge of apiary science.

These grants were started in memory of three distinguished Washington beekeepers: Roy Thurber, Carl VanWechel, and Alvina Timmons. Generous donations from their families have been supplemented by annual proceeds from WASBA’s benefit auction and by contributions from our members and the public.

WASBA provides scholarships to students whose research relates to apiculture.
