SnoKing Beekeepers Association is starting an online Journeyman study group. Our first meeting will be March 22. This certification is intended for those with 3 or more years of beekeeping who have completed WASBA’s Apprentice. We will meet online to go through the 170pp manual and to encourage & support each other in gaining knowledge & experience.

Also, we wish to help each other with the other main goal of Journeyman certification: to “give back” to the community with mentoring, talks on beekeeping and all pollinators, and being ambassadors for bees in general. Journeymen candidates whose primary club affiliation is not the SnoKing Beekeepers Assn. will be encouraged to seek those service opportunities with their home bee club.

We welcome help from other local bee clubs or affiliates, either by encouraging members to study with us or by contributing guest speakers or other support. Meeting online will allow us to form a larger group than might otherwise be possible.  Working together will allow us to share the valuable knowledge we have with other interested beekeepers. Also, completing the more academic side of the Journeyman program online now will free us to work more on the service component when in-person meeting restrictions ease.

If interested in joining or helping with such a study group, please contact as soon as possible. Manuals should be ordered 2 weeks in advance of the course. Cost of course is $65.
