Comments

  1. I am fairly upset at the hypocricy of promoting this Bayer sponsored award by a major manufacturer of pesticides and herbicides which are responsible for the depletion of our bee populations. My son and I, organic farmers, were considering membership in your organization. We have changed our minds. We will not support organizations financially that work with or as fronts to industry that harms the environment, the habitat, the food (pollen and honey) that both bees and humans consume. Bayer’s pesticides and herbicides directly and indirectly deplete the bee populations across the USA and Europe and South America. We will however continue to support your legislative initiatives in Washington State – as long as they appear not to be white washing for the chemicals industry.
